Submitted by Liz Bicknell All smiles as OCV President Liz Bicknell thanks Oak Bay Mayor Kevin Murdoch and Vancouver Island Trail President Ken Milbrath at the official designation ceremony marking Anderson Hill Regional Park in Oak Bay as the start of the Vancouver Island Trail. Swan Lake to Christmas Hill

About 9 KM hike going from Swan Lake to Christmas Hill, and through (or along) three other parks, with a nice lunch at some picnic tables. Flowers just starting to show. We were surprised by a large frog closer to the end of the hike. It was so still and large, we thought it was a statue/prank!

Mill Stream to Jocelyn Hill

Submitted by & photos by Adrien Lamoureux Sunday March 24th OCV members hiked from Millstream to Joceyln Hill. The hike was about 7KM, withh over 300M of elevation gain, and took just under 3 hours. It was a perfect day for hiking, with the snow completely gone. The first snow-free day hike since the snow arrived in February.

by Mary Hof 15 hikers came out March 10th for the Gowland Tod Ramble Hike. Hikers were from the OCV, Cowichan Hikers, and the Island Mountain Ramblers all of which I am a member.
