Covid-19 has changed lives world-wide, and curtailed regular OCV hikes.  Now that restrictions are easing, OCV leaders will offer physically distanced hikes, Mondays to Fridays during the month of June.  Groups are limited to six people, as per provincial health regulations.
Our leader on this first post-pandemic OCV hike was Jan MacRae, who provided flower identification and historical commentary.  Brenda O’Regan, Lois Mesner, Cathy Gillis and Nancy Payeur participated in the hike, which included beautiful Oak Haven and Gore Parks, followed by lunch at Tod Inlet.  A good time was had by all, as we caught up on what we’d been doing during the pandemic, including what we’ve missed most.  Hiking, dental visits and hair cuts were all mentioned!
